SOLID BRASS DOOR HARDWARE

Cast in the British Midlands, this delightful reproduction brass door hardware adds flair to any entry. The lion’s head door knockers, centre pull knobs and letter plates featured here were all the rage in the 19th Century, when they were displayed by homeowners as a sign of wealth. By 1890 electric doorbells had replaced knockers, but even today, nothing matches the graceful charm of classic door knocker.

Originally for mounting to a yacht’s mast to illuminate the deck below, the mast light’s clean shape ensured rigging lines were not snagged.

These lights have become very popular with interior designers. They are visually attractive as well as practical in places where ceilings are not high and spotlights can not be used. Excellent for lighting work tops.

Rear cable entry and surface mounting. A remote 12 volt transformer is required. Uses (MR16) 20 watt or 50 watt bulb.
